What counts as User Content
“User Content” means anything you contribute to the Service and its features (including Connect, fAIls, Inform and Empower), including:
- News posts, including links to articles and any summary or commentary you add
- Comments and replies on posts
- Images
- Opinions and reviews about AI products
- Suggestions for fAIls nominations and correction requests on PaiAR™ (Personal AI Accountability Rating) scores
Your responsibilities and the license you grant
You own your content, and you are responsible for it. By posting, you confirm that:
- You created the content or have the rights and permissions needed to post it.
- Factual statements are true to the best of your knowledge, and opinions are presented as opinions.
- You have the consent of anyone identifiable in the content, or have removed or obscured their personal information.
- Posting it does not breach any law, contract, confidentiality duty or employer policy.
Your legal responsibility
You are solely responsible, legally and otherwise, for your User Content and the consequences of posting it. As between you and Axiom4Intel, any liability arising from your User Content — including any claim that it is defamatory, infringing, threatening, or a privacy violation — is yours, not ours. Axiom4Intel provides an interactive computer service and is not the publisher or speaker of User Content that you or other users post (47 U.S.C. § 230); User Content reflects its author’s views, not Axiom4Intel’s. You will defend and indemnify Axiom4Intel for third-party claims arising from your User Content, as set out in the Terms and Conditions.
License to Axiom4Intel
You grant Axiomintel, Inc. a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt (for example by summarizing, translating, redacting or de-identifying), distribute and publish your User Content to operate, promote and improve the Service and to support PaiAR research and ratings (which use User Content only in aggregated or de-identified form, consistent with our Privacy Policy). This license continues for content you delete only to the extent it has been shared by others, is retained in backups, aggregated or de-identified, or must be kept for legal reasons. We do not train AI models, and we do not use User Content to train AI models or allow others to do so.
Who can see your content
Assume anything you post can be seen by every Axiom4Intel account holder and may be shared beyond the site. It may be seen and used in these ways:
- All account holders. Anyone with an Axiom4Intel account can view it. It is not indexed by search engines.
- Social media. You and other users can link to or share posts and pages to third-party social media. Once shared, a copy is governed by that platform’s terms, and we cannot remove it there.
- Enterprise customers. Businesses with enterprise accounts can view, search and analyze posts, comments, images and opinions about their products or companies, shown with your display name. They do not see your email or account details.
- API licensees. Approved organizations may search our data sets through an API. User Content provided this way has display names and account identifiers removed, and licensees are contractually barred from re-identifying users or training AI models on it.
No obligation to publish
We are not required to post, keep or use any User Content. We do not pay for User Content.
What you may not post
Do not post content that:
- Is unlawful, including content that infringes intellectual property, breaches privacy or confidentiality, or violates export or sanctions laws.
- Is false and damaging — knowingly false statements of fact about a company or person, including rated AI companies and their employees.
- Exposes personal information — home addresses, phone numbers, government IDs, financial or health details, or other private data about anyone, including in screenshots or chat logs.
- Harasses or threatens, or promotes violence, hate or discrimination against people based on protected characteristics.
- Sexualizes minors in any way, or contains sexually explicit material. We report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement.
- Enables harm — working jailbreak prompts, exploit code, malware, or step-by-step instructions for weapons, attacks or other serious harm. You may describe that an AI produced harmful output without reproducing the harmful instructions themselves.
- Is confidential or stolen, such as trade secrets, leaked internal documents or material obtained through unauthorized access.
- Is spam or manipulation, including advertising, affiliate links, fake reviews, vote brigading, or undisclosed posting for or against a rated company.
- Impersonates anyone or misrepresents your identity or affiliation.
- Contains malicious files or code.
Rules for specific content types
| Content type | Rules |
|---|---|
| News posts | Link to the original source. Do not copy full articles or paywalled content; a short excerpt with the link is enough. Your headline or summary must accurately reflect the article. Do not post fabricated or doctored news. |
| Comments | Stay on topic, engage with ideas rather than people, and label speculation as speculation. |
| Images | Post only images you created or have the right to share. Do not post images of identifiable people without their consent, or images showing others’ personal information. Mark any edited screenshot as edited. Remove metadata you do not intend to share. Maximum file size: 10 MB. |
| Opinions and reviews | Base them on your own genuine experience. Disclose any employment, financial or competitive relationship with the product’s maker or a rival. Do not review your own employer’s product. |
| fAIls suggestions | Describe what happened accurately, with the AI product, version, date and sources where known. Suggestions do not guarantee a nomination; fAIls nominations are made by Axiom4Intel. |
| Rating corrections | Provide verifiable sources. Rated companies may submit corrections but must identify themselves. Editorial judgment over PaiAR scores stays with Axiom4Intel. |
User Content does not directly change PaiAR scores. Aggregated, de-identified User Content may be one input to PaiAR research and ratings, as described in our Privacy Policy. Community posts and reviews reflect their authors’ views, not Axiom4Intel’s. Ratings, rankings and fAIls nominations are Axiom4Intel’s editorial work; user suggestions are one input we may consider.
Moderation, enforcement and appeals
We may review, redact (without substantively rewriting), label, restrict, remove or decline to publish User Content that we believe breaches these Conditions, the Terms or the law. We use a combination of automated tools and human review. We are not obliged to monitor all content, and we are not responsible for content posted by users.
Enforcement steps
Depending on severity and history:
- Content removed or hidden, with notice to you
- Warning
- Temporary posting restriction
- Account suspension
- Permanent ban, with no refund for serious or repeated violations
Severe violations, such as child sexual abuse material, credible threats or doxxing, may lead to an immediate ban and a report to authorities.
Notice and appeal
When we remove your content or restrict your account, we will tell you what we did and why, unless the law or safety prevents it. You may appeal within 30 days at [email protected]. A different reviewer will decide your appeal. EU users may also use certified out-of-court dispute settlement bodies under the Digital Services Act.
Removing illegal or harmful content; cease-and-desist
No duty to monitor; right to act
We do not pre-screen or generally monitor User Content, and we are not responsible for User Content that users post. We do, however, reserve the right to remove or disable access to User Content at any time, with or without notice, as described in this Section and Section 4.
Removal when we become aware
When we become aware — through a report, our own review, or a notice from a third party or law enforcement — of User Content that is illegal, threatening, pornographic or sexually explicit, harassing, infringing, or otherwise in breach of these Conditions, we will act to remove or disable access to it expeditiously, consistent with applicable law. This is intended to operate within the Good Samaritan protections of 47 U.S.C. § 230 for US users and the notice-and-action process of the Digital Services Act for EU users.
Urgent harms
For the most serious material — child sexual abuse material, credible threats of violence, doxxing, or non-consensual intimate imagery — we will remove it on an expedited basis and may ban the poster and report it to NCMEC and law enforcement, as described in Section 4.
Cease-and-desist and third-party demands
Any person or organization — including someone who is not a user, and a company we rate — may demand removal of User Content they believe is unlawful (for example defamatory, infringing, threatening, or a privacy violation) by writing to [email protected] with the specific content, where it appears, and why it is unlawful. We will review the demand under this Section and Section 6, may forward it to the poster, and will act as the law requires. Removing content is not an admission that it was unlawful, and declining to remove it is not an endorsement; consistent with Section 6, we do not remove content solely because it is critical, and we retain editorial discretion.
What happens after a demand
We will acknowledge a complete demand promptly and may ask for missing information. Except for urgent harms or where the law requires otherwise, we will notify the poster and give them a chance to respond before deciding, and we may restrict access to the content while we review. We will tell both the person who sent the demand and the poster what we decided. A poster whose content is removed may appeal under Section 4. A demand, including the sender’s name and contact details, may be shared with the poster, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Effect of removal
Removing or disabling User Content does not make Axiom4Intel the publisher or speaker of it, does not create any duty to monitor or to remove other content, and does not waive any protection available to us under law. How we retain removed content and handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Reporting content and copyright
Report content using the report link on any post or by emailing [email protected]. Tell us where the content is, why it breaks these Conditions or the law, and how to reach you. We review reports promptly and tell you the outcome.
Where to send what
- Content that breaks these Conditions
- The report link or [email protected]
- Legal demands about User Content (defamation, privacy, threats, cease-and-desist), under Section 5
- [email protected]
- Copyright, to our designated agent
- [email protected]
- Errors in Axiom4Intel’s own ratings, fAIls nominations or news summaries, under the Terms and Conditions
- [email protected]
- Appeals of our decisions, under Section 4
- [email protected]
Rated companies that believe User Content about them is false and defamatory should send a demand to [email protected] under Section 5, identifying the specific statement, why it is false, and supporting evidence. We do not remove content solely because it is critical.
Copyright (DMCA)
If you believe content infringes your copyright, send our designated agent a notice that includes: your signature; identification of the work; the URL of the infringing material; your contact details; a statement of good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are authorized to act. Users whose content is removed may send a counter-notice. We terminate repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
