PaiAR Ratings

What is a PaiAR score — and why does it matter?

PaiAR means two things. For each AI product it is the Product AI Accountability Rating; when you select the AI tools you use, those ratings combine into your Personal AI Accountability Rating. Either way, a PaiAR score is a single, composite accountability rating for an AI product, produced by our patent-pending rating methodology. It tells you, at a glance, how the company behind that product measures up across the seven dimensions that matter most to the people who use it.

Seven lenses. One accountability picture.

Every AI product is evaluated across all seven dimensions. No dimension is optional. No company gets to choose which ones apply to them.

01
Identity
Who built it, how close their best model is to the cutting edge, and whether the company behind the product is financially sound, publicly accountable, and stable for the people building it.
02
Litigation
Active lawsuits, regulatory actions, IP disputes, and the company's legal track record — because litigation is a direct signal of accountability failures.
03
Quality
Hallucination rates on independent tests, political bias, sycophancy, and paid placement in answers. How reliably does the product do what it claims — and what happens when it doesn't?
04
Privacy
Whether your chats train the model, how long data is kept, how easy it is to opt out, regulatory enforcement, and whether privacy promises hold up under commercial pressure. Your data is the product — this dimension measures how carefully the company treats it.
05
Guardrails and Control
How responsibly the company stewards AI risk — guardrail and adversarial-testing rigor, pre-deployment evaluation gating, AI-incident disclosure, external audit access, and emergency shutdown & rollback capability.
06
Safety
How the model holds up when people try to break it — jailbreak resistance, child-safety enforcement, election integrity, and chemical, biological and nuclear weapons risk — measured by independent testers, not company claims.
07
Environment
Energy consumption, carbon footprint, renewable commitments, and progress against published sustainability targets — because the cost of AI isn't only financial.
PaiAR
The composite score — all seven dimensions combined into a single, actionable rating.

Most rating systems only measure risk. Ours measures both.

Each dimension in the patent-pending PaiAR system can move a score in either direction. Strong performance lifts the composite. Weak performance pulls it down. And critically — excellence in one area can offset weakness in another, just as real accountability works in the real world.

This means a company with a strong safety record but a poor privacy posture receives a score that reflects both — not a binary pass/fail, and not an average that papers over the gaps.

The dial to the right demonstrates this dynamic. Select a dimension to see how its influence flows into the composite PaiAR score.

Seven scores. One composite truth.

Through our patent-pending scoring methodology, each of the seven dimension scores is weighted, normalized, and combined into a single PaiAR composite. The weighting reflects the relative impact each dimension has on the people most affected by AI — consumers, workers, and communities.

Like a credit score, the composite reflects the full picture rather than any single factor. Unlike a credit score, every input is sourced from documented, verifiable evidence — and every score is updated as companies and products change.

Simple enough to act on. Rigorous enough to trust.

PaiAR scores range from 0 to 100. Higher scores reflect stronger accountability practices across all seven dimensions. Scores are not permanent — they are living documents, updated as companies evolve, face new litigation, change their privacy practices, or publish new environmental data.

80–100
Accountable
Strong, documented accountability across most or all dimensions
60–79
Developing
Meaningful progress with notable gaps remaining
40–59
Concerning
Significant accountability gaps that warrant caution
0–39
At Risk
Serious and documented accountability failures

What a PaiAR Score Is — and Isn't

A PaiAR score is Axiom4Intel's independent assessment of an AI product's accountability posture, based on publicly available, documented evidence at the time of publication. It is updated regularly as new information becomes available.

A PaiAR score is not a certification, guarantee, legal opinion, or endorsement. It does not constitute financial, legal, or purchasing advice. It is a human-led assessment designed to inform your judgment — not replace it.

Axiom4Intel is not affiliated with any AI company or product we evaluate. No company has ever previewed, influenced, or appealed a PaiAR score before publication. No score can be purchased.
